Last week, my stunning friend Tai Beauchamp posted a montage of her working out on her instagram feed—full throttle weight lifting, lunging, sweating, WORKING.
I mean my friend, I was floored. At her strength, yes, but also—this is a drop-dead stunning woman I have known since I was 24 and always just assumed she was born with it. The lips, the eyes, the curves, those abs. The skin!! That glow.
Her message? If you want it, work for it.
The body
The relationship
The house
The business
The life of your dreams
It takes work, every day.
Here at MILCHE, we are pro-flow—as in, total belief in the possibility of flow and joy in the work, whatever the work is. It should never be a grind. It shouldn’t cause stress and toxic pain. Yes, it can be fun.
But make no mistake, sometimes there’s hustle in flow.
Sometimes pain for a purpose—discomfort in the name of risk—says we are alive and thriving. We are progressing. We’re evolving.
So yes, ma’am. You’re going to have to work for it. Because no one else is going to do the work for you.
And when you get to the sweetness on the other side, that reward—-lady that’s all yours, too.
